In Zita's world, supernatural beings have the ability to detect those who are also magical in origin. This is thanks to everyone being connected by the Raw Magic that defines their existence.
To make something very clear now - Zita's magic sense can only detect, it cannot identify. Zita will only be able to tell that someone and/or something is around in a general direction; she will not be able to figure out who or what they are from her senses. That's a field of magic altogether and it's not something Zita is trained to do, so no worries about her finding out about the importance of your character's Secret MacGuffin they happen to be carrying.
In return, individuals can detect Zita! If you want to do that.
For those who are wondering whether or not their character and/or item falls under this, my rule of thumb for Zita's magic sense is this: If the person or item is considered magical from their world, then Zita will be able to pick up on it.
If your character gained their abilities from origins like being experimented upon or the item is simply advanced technology, Zita will not be able to pick up on it.
